We’ll give you the tools, resources, and support to grow your skills, gain confidence, and make an impact, whether that’s building new features, solving unique customer challenges, or contributing to our business in meaningful ways.

At this event, you’ll enjoy light bites while hearing directly from our recruiting team and an AfroTech alumna, who will share tips to help you stand out and stay competitive in today’s job market.

- You are attending AfroTech and will be in Houston at the time of the event.

- Currently working toward a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Fabiana Scala is a Senior Engineer on the OrgStore Query team at Datadog. She enjoys empowering fellow engineers with platform solutions to build features faster without compromising on scale or quality. Currently she is also spending her free time learning Japanese and playing tennis.

Making it Simple to Do the Right Thing with Postgres

This talk will explore how we approached building a fully managed postgres PaaS for Datadog engineers. Standing on the shoulders of giants we will talk about how we leveraged the lessons learned of past incidents, ops toil, and user feedback to simplify how we manage postgres as operators and make it simple for users build services on top of postgres in a reliable way.
