"Bits AI: Building a Datadog Product with LLMs"
First Talk - "Chrono: Datadog’s High Throughput Scheduler"
Speaker: Mustafa Abban
At Datadog, we orchestrate millions of schedules across a range of products, including Cloud Integrations and Workflow Automation. Join us as we delve into the backbone of these products - Chrono, a managed, multi-tenant, distributed scheduling system designed to handle org and user-defined schedules for Datadog.
We'll share how we employ creative techniques to enhance the reliability of scheduling, including static stability and replication. Furthermore, we’ll explore the performance characteristics of this system and ways we enable scheduling at scale!
Second Talk - "Bits AI: Building a Datadog Product with LLMs"
Speaker: Conor Branagan
At Datadog we ingest massive volumes of infrastructure and business-critical data, which can be challenging to synthesize and draw out insights. That's why we built Bits AI, a generative AI-powered Devops Copilot to help investigate and respond to incidents across across Slack, Mobile and the Web
This talk will discuss how Datadog built and launched Bits AI, our first GenAI-backed product, in just 3 months. You will learn about the architecture of the bot and what technical decisions and trade-offs were made to build quickly. We will cover lessons learned from real usage in the wild. Finally, from these learnings we will discuss our technical direction going forward.
